Over Butylscopolamine

Waarvoor het dient

Symptomatische behandeling van spasmen van het spijsverteringskanaal, de galwegen, de urinewegen en de genitaliën (o.a. kolieken, spastisch colon, maagspasmen).

Hoe het werkt

Perifeer werkend antimuscarine- en anticholinergisch middel (quaternaire ammoniumverbinding) dat spasmen in gladde spiercellen van het maagdarm-, gal- en urinewegstelsel opheft door blokkade van parasympathische ganglia en muscarinereceptoren.

Dosering

Volwassenen en kinderen >12 jaar: 20-40 mg per dosis, maximaal 100 mg per dag, parenteraal (IV, IM of SC). Kinderen: 0,3-0,6 mg/kg per dosis, maximaal 1,5 mg/kg per dag, parenteraal.
